As a lifelong athlete, the curiosity of how the human body performs, and the variables that drive improved performance led Shaun to pursue a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise Physiology.
Growing up Shaun was active in martial arts, track, and football. The competition of sport has always played a significant role in his life. In an effort to fill the competitive void as an adult, Shaun found himself walking into a local CrossFit gym, and has never looked back! He fell in love with the challenge, the suffering, and the variability. His drive for consistent 1% improvement continues to persist.
He truly believes his Crossfit journey has been one of the greatest resources for self development and internal exploration.
As a coach, Shaun believes the chance to coach someone in CrossFit, regardless of their ability level or aspirations, presents a unique opportunity to truly make positive difference in someone’s life. He strives to take what he’s learned in traditional higher education, combined with his time as an athlete, to make those difference in others. We’ll never reach mastery or perfection, but that isn’t the focus, nor the destination. Our focus is on our journey…and through our journey we will become stronger, more resilient, more self-aware human beings. 1% better everyday.
